Social clubs are a great way to get to know some people at university. In fact, they are especially useful to the folks that have started a new life in a new city. Nowadays we think it’s even more easy to join a social club because of the internet. Many social clubs can be seen on Discord, Twitch, Instagram even, which is not unusual considering that we can find everything online, from shops we visit in real life, movies we watch, promotions we like to use like the Betfair Promo Code, and many many more. So why shouldn’t there be social clubs online? However, one question is overpowering and that is the following question: Which club should you join, though? And how many is too many? Let’s examine three clubs you should consider joining.

Goals

If you are just looking to socialize, joining up to three or four clubs is a good way to go about it. When I say three or four, I mean that you should not go further than that. Even two different clubs can be a scheduling nightmare. On the other hand, if you are passionate about a project or an idea, then you should join a club that deals with it or allows you to explore your newfound passion.

Theater Club

Do you want to explore your artistic talent? Well, the theater club is one of the best places to do it. You’ll meet amateur writers, actors, and directors and they often intersect. This is a club you should join for its love of the arts and its ability to connect you to local theater groups. Write, act, perform, and see the most exceptional and sometimes absurd plays.

Community Service

Those of us who binged TV shows about crimes and law have often used the term ‘community service’ to mean the slap on the writs. Like if someone has committed a crime, but should probably not go to jail. Well, community service is a lot more. There are many things that need to be done in the community that are not a priority for the local authorities or they simply do not have the budget to deal with them. That’s when you and your group come in. I don’t like the term ‘social justice’, but there’s a bit of that as well. So, if you want to make your community a better place to live and prosper, this is the club for you.

Sports Club

It’s not (always) about competitive sports. It is about making the best version of yourself. It is about joining a club that teaches you how to improve your body through workouts, sports, martial arts, hikes, and much more. You can travel to other universities and compete. If you are lucky, you can even get scouted. However, that’s not the point. The point is that sports clubs are excellent for celebrating the world of sports.
